Talent Acquisition Leader (Strategic & Regulated Industry Focus)

Location: Northeast US (Hybrid)

The Opportunity: We are seeking a seasoned, strategic, and hands-on Talent Acquisition Leader to evolve and oversee the entire recruiting function. This role is responsible for developing and executing a cohesive, scalable talent strategy that is fully aligned with aggressive business objectives. The successful candidate will build out the function, lead the full-cycle recruitment process, and ensure all hiring practices meet stringent compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute a scalable, enterprise-wide Talent Acquisition strategy.
  • Partner directly with senior leaders to forecast hiring needs and manage talent pipelines across multiple business units.
  • Lead employer branding initiatives to position the company as a top employer within its sector.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performance team of recruiters and coordinators, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.

Recruitment Operations & Compliance

  • Manage high-priority, full-cycle recruitment for critical roles across the organization.
  • Ensure all hiring and employment practices strictly adhere to relevant regulatory and compliance guidelines (e.g., EEO and other mandated industry standards).
  • Optimize sourcing strategies using advanced analytics, data, and market insights.
  • Oversee recruitment metrics, reporting, and champion continuous process improvement.

Technology & Process Ownership

  • Own, manage, and optimize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other HR technologies to maximize efficiency.
  • Leverage recruiting analytics to inform decision-making and enhance the overall candidate experience.
  • Lead the transition from decentralized hiring (HRBPs) to a centralized, professionalized Talent Acquisition function.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, including substantial leadership and strategic planning responsibilities.
  • Must have prior experience in a highly regulated manufacturing or product-focused industry (e.g., Life Sciences, Aerospace, Defense, Specialized Electronics).
  • Deep practical understanding of compliance requirements within regulated environments.
  • Proven ability to build out or significantly restructure a Talent Acquisition function in a mid-size company.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, consultative relationships with senior leaders and influence talent-related decisions.
  • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting analytics platforms.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.
