Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the accounting operations for a growing healthcare organization. This role will manage full-cycle accounting processes, ensure GAAP compliance, support strategic initiatives including mergers and acquisitions, and build and lead a high-performing accounting team. The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare experience, hands-on leadership, and a deep understanding of financial reporting and operational accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, billing, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, partnering with leadership to support financial decision-making
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Play a key role in M&A activities, including due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition accounting support
- Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and operational efficiencies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and executive leadership
- Support audits and ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory and reporting requirements
- Leverage accounting systems (including Sage Intacct) to drive process improvement and scalability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Prior experience within the healthcare industry strongly preferred
- Extensive experience with full-process accounting in a complex organization
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Demonstrated success in M&A accounting and integration efforts
- Experience building, leading, and developing accounting teams
- Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct highly preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CMA certification
- Experience supporting multi-entity or high-growth healthcare organizations
