Hiring for a Patient Services Representative in North Andover, MA.
Experience/Skills:
- Must have at least 3 – 6 months of recent medical call center/ medical customer service where they were answering a high volume of phone calls daily.
- Insurance referral experience preferred but not required.
- This is not a front-facing role – so if someone who has worked in the back office of a medical office answering calls, scheduling patients, doing insurance verification, working with medical records, that works.
- Will be required to help with some other office tasks as needed – including front desk, check in/ check out, patient translation (if bilingual) and/or other operation/admin tasks.
Pay: $19/hr
Schedule: M-F 8:30am- 5pm
Tasks:
- Answering phones and forwarding calls to the appropriate party, or taking down messages for forwarding later
- Help with overflow of insurance referrals, medical records, calls, patient scheduling and voice mail. This will mostly involve telephone contact.
- Schedule appointments, verify insurance information, and provide information about services.
- Strong communication and customer service skills are crucial, along with an understanding of healthcare procedures and terminology
- Collecting patient information and providing it to relevant medical leads
- Other admin/operation tasks as needed
