Position Summary
A plaintiff-focused litigation firm is seeking a dedicated Medical Malpractice Paralegal to support attorneys. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is comfortable working with complex medical information and contributing to all phases of case development, from intake through trial.
Primary Duties

Request, compile, and manage extensive medical records and related materials, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Analyze medical documentation to create clear timelines and narrative summaries that support case strategy.

Coordinate communications and logistics with medical experts and other professional witnesses.

Monitor litigation schedules, manage case deadlines, and organize attorney calendars to ensure timely filings and appearances.

Assist with trial and hearing preparation by organizing exhibits, tracking evidence, and supporting courtroom readiness.

Research factual issues and gather background materials to reinforce claims and damages arguments.

Support discovery efforts and assist with document review and production.

Provide general case support and administrative assistance as needed throughout the life of a matter.
Qualifications

Prior experience in medical malpractice or plaintiff-side personal injury litigation strongly preferred.

Proven ability to review and interpret medical records and related healthcare documentation.

Familiarity with civil litigation procedures and court deadlines, preferably within the Washington, DC jurisdiction.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active cases simultaneously.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.

Excellent written communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
