Senior Financial Analyst / Financial Analyst

Onsite – Berlin, CT (5 days/week)
Compensation: $80,000–$85,000
A growing, multi-site medical device manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Financial Analyst / Senior Financial Analyst to support cost analysis, financial reporting, and operational decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with manufacturing, operations, and procurement in a fast-paced environment.
Position Overview
This role focuses on analyzing and reporting manufacturing costs to ensure accurate financial reporting and improved profitability. The analyst will partner cross-functionally to enhance cost controls, standard costing accuracy, and ERP-driven processes.
Key Responsibilities

Support monthly close activities, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting of key financial metrics

Analyze gross margin and cost drivers, including purchase price, labor, overhead, and scrap variances

Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead

Support and optimize ERP workflows related to inventory, costing, and reporting

Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Procurement to assess cost impacts of process changes, new products, and capital investments

Structure, document, and improve financial and costing processes

Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required documentation

Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing finance
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred

Solid understanding of standard costing and variance analysis

ERP system experience and strong Excel skills

Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills

Work Environment

Office-based role with regular interaction on the manufacturing floor
