Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee accounting functions including general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, etc.
• Prepare financial statements and various management reports and analyses
• Accounts receivable and invoicing
• Accounts payable, expense reports & employee reimbursement
• Responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing including prevailing wage entries and payroll reporting
• Bank reconciliations, administration of deposits, loans, etc.
• Taxes: Interact with Consultant in preparation of taxes
• Follow-up and resolution to IRS, MassTax, and DUA Notices
• Create efficiencies and process improvements
• Proactively seek cost cutting measures for recurring expenses
• Develop Financial Policies and Procedures Manual
• Maintain an organized, auditable financial filing system electronically and/or hard-copy
• Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive documents
• Employee Onboarding and Outboarding– (ie. adding new hires to payroll and time & expense system)
• Responsible for communication between employees/office and 401K representatives.
• Annual Insurance Renewals (Professional Liability, Workers Compensation, Automobiles, Health, Vison, Dental, etc.)

Requirements

• 5+ years of related accounting experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Deltek software experience preferred (or the ability and desire to learn new accounting software)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; highly detail oriented
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
