Pay: 24/hour
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Delivers and/or replenishes medical and surgical supplies to all departments according to established guidelines
- Receive all incoming equipment supplies and furniture.
- Records and notifies Biomed/Facilities for incoming inspections.
- Verifies condition, counts, sorts, records, reports any discrepancies, and processes all related paperwork and forwards to Buyers
- Delivers office supplies equipment to all departments within the hospital complex
- Maintains UPS and overnight carrier logs; Contacts carrier as needed
- Processes and prepares all returns for equipment, supplies and furniture as needed
- Routinely assists in procurement of storeroom inventor
- Verifies and adjusts perpetual inventory as needed
- Performs courier mail service daily, as needed
- Keeps the store dock and receiving area clean and orderly by sweeping the area and removing all cartons, trash, and boxes daily
- Responsible for delivering and picking up items out of hospital daily: mail, bank transactions, non-stock supplies and off-site facilities
- Responsible to accurately inventory medical/surgical supplies electronically for all clinical areas; keeping area organized and orderly at all times. Checking routinely for outdated items
- Responsible for ordering all gas cylinders, paper goods, housekeeping supplies and I.V. solutions, as needed
- Stores all stock received in proper area in the FIFO manner (first in first out) and checks for outdates
- Checks online inventory for accuracy and initiates changes where appropriate
- Fills all requisitions on a daily basis for all departments and delivers to appropriate area
- Assists with coverage for Materials Management Tech II, as needed
- Investigates items received without proper paperwork
- Adds and removes bar code inventory labels as necessary
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Previous experience in Materials Management preferred.
- Computer experience preferred.
