We are working with a Manufacturer in Wallingford who is looking for Machine Operator help on their overnight shift. 4 Positions open!
Basic Machine Operating experience and use of inspection tools (calipters/micrometers) is necessary (6+ months)
Pay/Hours 1st shift 7am – 3pm Mon-Fri and paid $23.22/hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follows assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and required parts; gathering parts, tools, and materials.
- Perform a wide variety of hand, bench, and simple machine operations to prepare and/or assemble connectors and related units following established methods and procedures.
- Perform stock handling duties as required to identify and issue supplies, parts, and other items for departmental usage
- Perform simple drilling, milling, threading, taping, soldering, brazing assembly following established practice and/or specific instructions
- Visually check parts and assemblies for burrs or other disqualifying elements and make routine repairs as necessary
- Detect and report defective material, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to supervisor
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed assemblies.
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to stand, twist and bend up to 50% of the time
- Strong organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail
