Position: Family Medicine Faculty / Provider-Educator
Locations: New Paltz, NY & Kingston, NY
Compensation: $225,000 – $233,000 per year (base)
Additional Compensation:

  • Call differentials:

    • Medical: $2,000

    • Pediatrics: $2,000

    • Obstetrics: $5,000

  • Sign-on bonus: $15,000

Overview:
This role combines clinical practice with teaching responsibilities. Faculty provide comprehensive care as a family medicine provider while training residents. Responsibilities include supervising and precepting residents, participating in curriculum development, and engaging in research or scholarly activity. Eligible faculty may receive an academic appointment at affiliated medical schools.

Key Responsibilities:

Faculty & Education:

  • Supervise, precept, and advise residents

  • Manage selected curriculum components

  • Participate in scholarly and research activities

  • Provide supervision for hospital-based services, including inpatient or obstetrics care

Clinical:

  • Provide patient care at assigned clinical sites

  • Meet productivity, quality, regulatory, and research standards

  • Support integrated care, including behavioral health and addiction treatment

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school and family medicine residency program

  • NY State Medical License

  • Board Certified in Family Medicine (ABFM or ACOFP)

  • Current BCLS and DEA certification

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and management skills

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with electronic health records preferred (Epic a plus)

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
