The Tax Specialist responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Accurate and timely preparation of select Federal related processes (e.g., tax depreciation).
- Assist with the compilation and processing of tax returns, tax accruals, and certain state income tax estimates.
- Assist in gathering data requirements for all aspects of informational tax filings (e.g., 1099, W-2, 5498) and assist with filing reconciliations (e.g., IRS forms 941, 945).
- Research and draft response for notices and inquiries from taxing authorities, vendors, and other internal departments.
- Accurate and timely tracking, remitting, and/or filing of guaranty fund assessments.
- Responsible for municipal tax and sales & use tax filings.
- Prepare tax account reconciliation on a periodic basis.
- Perform other tasks as needed.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Knowledge Requirements:
- Entry level knowledge of tax and accounting processes and procedures
- Strong communication and organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to context, substance, and detail
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and within a collaborative team-oriented environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel) and the ability to learn to new software.
