Base compensation: $70,000


Position Summary

The Service Technician is a key member of the Service Department for this organization. This role is responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, evaluation, repair, technical support, and customer training related to imaging systems and associated equipment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide incoming technical support by troubleshooting issues and guiding customers as needed.

  • Maintain and update open service cases in a timely manner.

  • Support in-office service operations during non-travel periods, including customer support queue management.

  • Perform in-house evaluations and repairs of equipment.

  • Conduct on-site services including:

    • System installations

    • Preventative maintenance

    • Equipment evaluations and repairs

    • System relocations and upgrades

    • End-user training

  • Coordinate closely with the Service Coordinator to schedule service visits and communicate effectively with customers.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate service documentation in CRM systems, including reports, manuals, and communication logs.

  • Manage domestic and international travel logistics as required.

  • Develop written work instructions and technical documentation as needed.

  • Support factory repair and in-house service teams.

  • Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to provide field feedback, suggest improvements, and identify recurring issues.

  • Stay current with industry trends, X-ray technology advancements, and technical developments.

  • Perform additional duties as necessary to support company goals and objectives.


Qualifications & Education

Required Experience & Technical Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience servicing X-ray devices or similar high-tech equipment.

  • Experience working with high and low voltage electronics.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical assemblies.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing electronic and mechanical components.

  • Familiarity with X-ray technology and related systems.

  • Proficiency in software diagnostics and system integration.

  • Skilled in CRM, ERP, and general office software tools.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, X-ray Imaging, or a related field preferred.


Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to five days per week.

  • Willingness to work occasional weekends.

  • Ability to manage frequent domestic and international travel.
