Associate Director of Community Programs (LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT)
Full-Time | Community Behavioral Health | Field-Based
Salary: $90,000 – $100,000
A behavioral health organization is seeking an Associate Director of Community Programs to provide leadership, clinical supervision, and operational support for community-based behavioral health and substance use programs. This role supports multidisciplinary teams delivering services across community settings, including partnerships with justice system agencies and other community organizations.
The Associate Director will work closely with program leadership to ensure high-quality care delivery, regulatory compliance, and effective program operations. This position focuses primarily on clinical supervision, staff leadership, and program oversight, rather than maintaining a regular clinical caseload.
This role is community-based and involves travel to program locations, partner agencies, and other service sites within the region.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, approximately 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
No on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities

Provide clinical supervision and leadership to community-based behavioral health staff, care coordinators, and program team members

Support programs serving individuals with mental health and substance use treatment needs, including justice-involved populations

Supervise clinicians and program staff to ensure high-quality service delivery and adherence to clinical standards

Review clinical documentation and program processes to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance

Assist with program operations and staff management across multiple community program sites

Identify operational challenges and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery

Ensure staff compliance with organizational policies, training requirements, and supervision standards

Collaborate with community partners including correctional facilities, probation, parole, and other referral sources

Provide ongoing mentorship and professional development support to clinical staff and program teams

Lead quality improvement initiatives to support positive outcomes for clients and communities served

Assist in developing program strategies, goals, and operational priorities

Monitor program performance to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements

Participate in community outreach efforts to strengthen referral networks and partnerships

Collaborate with care teams to determine appropriate levels of care and support coordination of services

Support accreditation and regulatory compliance initiatives
Qualifications
Education
-
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field
Licensure
-
Active LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT required
Experience
-
Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment

Experience in community-based behavioral health services, care management, or social work preferred

Experience working with justice-involved populations, community outreach, or interdisciplinary care teams preferred
