Staff Accountant (Multi-Entity Operations)

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to manage the general ledger and financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of business entities. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounting, including year-end tax preparation, budgeting, and oversight of accounts payable and operational inventory tracking.
Core Responsibilities

General Ledger & Financial Control: Perform monthly G/L reviews, prepare recurring journal entries, and collaborate with department heads to resolve accounting discrepancies.

Operational Reporting: Manage Cost of Sales (COS) reporting and conduct periodic inventory audits. Reconcile point-of-sale transactions and operational revenue streams.

Financial Analysis: Prepare comprehensive internal financial packages, including P&L statements, variance analysis, and reforecasting for management review.

Real Estate & Project Accounting: Handle specialized reporting for lease-based entities, including CAM reconciliations and capital job cost tracking. Process change orders and maintain capital budgets.

Year-End & Tax Prep: Finalize year-end adjustments, depreciation schedules, and amortization workpapers to support external tax filings.

Budgeting: Assist in the creation of annual operating budgets on both an accrual and cash basis.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.

Experience: 3–5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within property management, hospitality, or multi-unit operations.

Technical Skills: High proficiency in Excel and Adobe. Experience with industry-standard ERP/Property Management software and specialized POS integration tools is highly preferred.

Key Competencies: Must possess strong knowledge of lease interpretation, commercial financial language, and job cost reporting.
