Physician Assistant – Outpatient Surgery
A growing surgical practice is seeking a Physician Assistant to support an outpatient Endocrine Surgery team. This role focuses on comprehensive patient management across the surgical continuum, including pre-operative evaluation, postoperative care, and coordination with a multidisciplinary clinical team.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with surgeons and specialists while managing patient care in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Recent graduates will be considered, though some prior clinical experience is preferred.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, daytime hours
Compensation: $135,000 – $145,000 depending on experience
Key Responsibilities

Conduct patient interviews, medical history reviews, and physical examinations

Develop preliminary diagnoses and coordinate appropriate diagnostic testing

Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic studies

Provide pre-operative assessments, surgical clearance, and patient optimization

Manage postoperative care including wound care, drain management, and medication adjustments

Develop and implement patient management plans and document care in the medical record

Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary providers to ensure continuity of care

Communicate with patients, families, and referring providers regarding treatment plans

Participate in clinical meetings, case reviews, and interdisciplinary discussions

Assist with additional clinical or administrative responsibilities as needed
Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

Active PA license (or eligibility for licensure)

NCCPA certification

Ability to perform comprehensive history and physical examinations

Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently within a collaborative care model

Excellent communication and organizational skills
