Physician Assistant – Outpatient Surgery 

A growing surgical practice is seeking a Physician Assistant to support an outpatient Endocrine Surgery team. This role focuses on comprehensive patient management across the surgical continuum, including pre-operative evaluation, postoperative care, and coordination with a multidisciplinary clinical team.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with surgeons and specialists while managing patient care in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Recent graduates will be considered, though some prior clinical experience is preferred.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, daytime hours
Compensation: $135,000 – $145,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient interviews, medical history reviews, and physical examinations

  • Develop preliminary diagnoses and coordinate appropriate diagnostic testing

  • Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic studies

  • Provide pre-operative assessments, surgical clearance, and patient optimization

  • Manage postoperative care including wound care, drain management, and medication adjustments

  • Develop and implement patient management plans and document care in the medical record

  • Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary providers to ensure continuity of care

  • Communicate with patients, families, and referring providers regarding treatment plans

  • Participate in clinical meetings, case reviews, and interdisciplinary discussions

  • Assist with additional clinical or administrative responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

  • Active PA license (or eligibility for licensure)

  • NCCPA certification

  • Ability to perform comprehensive history and physical examinations

  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently within a collaborative care model

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred

  • Experience in surgical or specialty practice settings

  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
