TITLE- SENIOR ACCOUNTANT??
COMPENSATION- 88,000
SCHEDULE- 1 DAY WORK FROM HOME/ 4 DAYS IN OFFICE (Except m/e close)
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in the period-end and year-end close process by performing various general accounting activities, including but not limited to journal entries (e.g. sales revenue validation, sales-in-transit, chemical consumption, change in inventory, etc.) and account reconciliations for assigned areas.
- Analyze Company operating results and develop revenue/expense variance reports and presentations.
- Support the monthly physical inventory process of finished goods.
- Work closely with Plant Manager and other operations supervisors on reporting requirements and special projects.
- Posting daily invoices and credits.
- Provide monthly inventory management reporting to support best practices (e.g. % obsolete, inventory aging, etc.)
- Respond to external auditor requests for support documentation.
- Support effective operation of company internal controls
- Constantly seeks to improve existing processes to align with best practices, to reduce workload, and improve reporting accuracy and controls.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Four-year accounting degree
- At least 5 years? experience in manufacturing environment
- Ability to gather and analyze data, confirming its accuracy and adequacy as an integral part of the collective analysis process
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
- Ability to multi-task and assign priorities
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; V-Lookup?s, pivot tables, etc.
