Compensation Range:

  • Account Manager: $80K–$95K + 5–10% Bonus

  • Experienced Account Manager (5+ years): $94K–$110K + 5–10% Bonus

  • Senior Account Manager (7+ years): $114K–$130K + 10–15% Bonus

A leading, privately held insurance brokerage and consulting firm is expanding its Employee Benefits team in the West Hartford, CT area. We are hiring multiple Account Managers across levels of experience who are passionate about client service, relationship management, and driving results in a collaborative, people-focused environment.

About the Role

As an Account Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing a designated book of business across marketing, claims, and administration functions. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients—coordinating renewals, managing marketing and RFP processes, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day client relationships and deliver excellent service in the Employee Benefits space

  • Prepare and present monthly experience reports, mid-year analyses, and annual management reports

  • Lead renewal and marketing processes including RFP development, vendor coordination, and proposal analysis

  • Coordinate plan implementations, transitions, and employee communications

  • Review carrier agreements, plan documents, and contracts for accuracy and compliance

  • Collaborate with Account Executives and Unit Managers to execute client service schedules

  • Provide proactive follow-up on outstanding issues and deliver timely reporting

  • Mentor junior associates and participate in internal training and professional development sessions

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of client service experience in Employee Benefits or insurance brokerage (varies by role level)

  • Strong understanding of health and welfare benefits programs, compliance, and market trends

  • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Relevant insurance licensing (or ability to obtain upon hire)
