Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, particularly in debits and credits, and will be responsible for core accounting and bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, cash receipts, and account reconciliations. Experience with sales and use tax is preferred, and familiarity with Abilia MPI is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions, including:
Accounts Payable (AP) processing
Cash receipts / Cash application
Bank and general ledger reconciliations
Journal entries and month-end close support

Maintain accuracy of financial records through proper application of debits and credits

Assist with preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns (preferred)

Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

Support audits and provide requested documentation

(Preferred) Work with Abilia MPI software for financial data entry and reporting, if applicable

Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience
Strong understanding of debits and credits (must)
Experience with AP, cash receipts, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping
Familiarity with sales and use tax processes (preferred)
Experience with Abilia MPI is a plus, but not required
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
