Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with experience in a manufacturing environment and strong ERP system skills. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, assist with cost and inventory accounting, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate is hands-on, systems-savvy, and comfortable working cross-functionally with operations and supply chain teams.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting

Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaids, allocations)

Perform monthly bank, account, and balance sheet reconciliations

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

Maintain the general ledger and ensure data accuracy

Support internal and external audit requests
Manufacturing & Cost Accounting Support

Assist with inventory accounting, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods

Support standard costing updates and variance analysis

Reconcile inventory sub-ledger to the general ledger

Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle counts

Analyze production and material usage reports
ERP Systems & Reporting

Utilize ERP systems (such as Sage, SAP ERP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or Infor CloudSuite) to process transactions and generate reports

Maintain data integrity within ERP financial and inventory modules

Assist in ERP system improvements, testing, and upgrades

Develop and maintain recurring financial and operational reports

Troubleshoot ERP-related discrepancies and support end users
Accounts Payable & Receivable Support

Review and reconcile vendor and customer accounts

Support invoice processing, payment runs, and cash application

Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience
-
2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Exposure to cost accounting and inventory management preferred

Hands-on experience with ERP systems required
Technical Skills

Strong ERP proficiency, particularly in financial and inventory modules

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas)

Experience with reporting tools or data analysis software is a plus
