Accountant/Staff Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with a strong background in manufacturing accounting and ERP systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial transactions, cost accounting, and inventory analysis, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general accounting functions including month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness.

  • Manage cost accounting processes including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.

  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory reporting and cost controls.

  • Reconcile accounts and maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and accruals.

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and company policies.

  • Utilize ERP systems to track and report financial data; recommend process improvements for efficiency.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (required).

  • CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus.

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, etc.).

  • Solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory control, and financial reporting.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with data analysis and reporting tools preferred.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, job costing, or process improvement initiatives.

  • Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls in a manufacturing setting.

  • Familiarity with business intelligence (BI) or reporting software tools.
