Complete Staffing Solutions (CSS) has partnered with a fast-growing company in the environmental services industry to find a skilled Accounting Manager to join their Boston-based team. This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days onsite per week, offering the chance to take ownership of accounting operations in a supportive, high-growth environment.

  • Title: Accounting Manager
  • Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid, 1-2 days onsite weekly)
  • Compensation: Base salary + 10% bonus

What You’ll Do:

As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee key aspects of accounting operations, partnering closely with the Controller and other leaders to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the month-end close process and ensuring timely financial reporting, with a focus on inventory and cost of sales.
  • Preparing detailed variance analyses and narratives on actuals, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Reviewing and approving journal entries, account reconciliations, and lease accounting processes.
  • Monitoring inventory accounting and ensuring accurate system reporting.
  • Assisting in the implementation and standardization of accounting systems and processes across multiple locations.
  • Researching and applying accounting policies to operational challenges.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and leadership to support business initiatives.

Key qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • At least 6 years of accounting/finance experience, with 1+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Background in public accounting (required).
  • CPA license (preferred but not required).
  • Experience in inventory or manufacturing accounting (a plus).
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage (helpful).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
