Accounting Manager – Burlington, MA
Summary/Objective
The Accounting Manager is a corporate position and is responsible for overseeing the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of the organization’s accounting operations. This role serves as the owner of key financial processes, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable accuracy, cash management, and the review of capital expenditures and tooling accounting. The Accounting Manager will lead a team of senior accountants and AP/AR staff, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Additionally, this role involves managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for U.S. and international operations, providing financial guidance to internal teams, and driving process improvements to enhance overall accounting efficiency and compliance.

- Manage daily accounting and reporting of a global manufacturing company
- Supervise and delegate work within the accounting department
- Supervision of direct reports, two senior accountants and three accounts payable/accounts receivable
- Plan, organize, and coordinate month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
- Responsible for timely and accurate month-end close of all U.S. accounting operations
- Review of balance sheet and bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Review all sales and use monthly tax filings
- Perform monthly review and analysis of internal P&L’s
- Provide GL support and analysis to plant cost accountants
- Oversee capital projects and tooling projects as well as oversight of FAS fixed asset program. Primary responsibility is with the general accountants but manager will have to review for accuracy
- Ensure company compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and assist with interpretation and implementation of new accounting standards

- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures and recommend accounting process improvements
- International consolidations including treasury functions
- Assist in design and testing of new reports and changes to existing reports
