Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, including invoice receipt, verification, coding, and payment processing, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Utilize Blackbaud Financial Edge to process transactions, maintain vendor records, and generate accurate financial reports.
  • Supervise and reconcile accounts payable activities, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies and adherence to payment schedules.
  • Collaborate with departments to verify invoice accuracy, resolve payment issues, and support budgetary compliance.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships, addressing inquiries and ensuring clear communication regarding payment processes.
  • Oversee the preparation of 1099 forms and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounts payable operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on accounts payable procedures and Financial Edge functionality.
  • Support annual audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries related to accounts payable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Finance team’s objectives.

Qualifications We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounts payable or related financial operations.
  • Significant experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge is required.
  • Higher education experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and vendor management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
