We have partnered with a local Telecom distribution company who is looking for an AP/AR Clerk who can help with general Administrative work.
This is a part-time position: 25-30 hours/week and paying $22-23/hour.
The Accounting Clerk supports the finance department in a variety of general accounting tasks related to receivables and payables, such as: verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records, updating and maintaining accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., invoicing, cash receipts/deposits, disbursements, expense vouchers). Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs, compiles data and prepares a variety of reports. Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers. Investigates questionable data and recommends actions to resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Organizational, verbal and written communication skills a must.
- Working knowledge of Epicor a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is an asset.
- Able to use a calculator and other office equipment as needed.
- Associate degree in accounting or business a plus.
