Assistant Accounting Manager

We are seeking an Assistant Accounting Manager looking to grow into an Accounting Manager for a large national organization. Competitive salary, amazing benefits, and one of the best cultures!

What You’ll Do
• Lead all aspects of accounting, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, fixed assets, inventory, and expense accruals
• Research and apply technical accounting guidance to new transactions and standards
• Oversee month end, tax, and year end close, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
• Partner with leadership to review financial statements and support strategic decision making
• Enhance internal controls, reporting processes, and overall data integrity
• Support annual audits and tax reporting, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors
• Lead key accounting projects, including implementation of new accounting standards and system enhancements
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including goal setting, performance reviews, and career development
 

What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or CPA eligible 
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting standards
• Experience managing accounting operations and financial reporting in a complex and large organization
• Proven experience in leading and developing a team
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross functionally
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
• Experience with fixed assets and inventory is a plus
• Experience with a publicly traded or large private organization
