We have partnered with one of the region’s fastest growing Condo/HOA management companies who is looking for an Assistant Manager to work out of their Stamford Hub. The person in this position is assist the Management team with the daily duties for a mid-sized portfolio.
2-3 years’ experience in the property world — Condo/HOA experience is highly preferred!
Pay range is in the $70K range
This position will handle administrative and operational duties, acting as a point of contact for residents and vendors.
Key responsibilities include responding to tenant inquiries, processing work orders, assisting with financial tasks like rent collection and budget preparation, coordinating with maintenance, conducting property inspections, and maintaining tenant records. This role requires strong communication, organization, and computer skills, with familiarity in property management software being a plus.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, responding to inquiries, addressing concerns promptly, and assisting with lease administration.
- Manage the work order process, coordinate with vendors and maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of tasks and conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance and upkeep.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable, including rent collection, processing invoices, and preparing financial reports or bank deposits.
- Help with tasks like preparing reports, updating tenant records, managing vendor certificates of insurance, and maintaining property-related documents.
- Assist with leasing activities, such as tenant screening, lease agreements, and renewals, as directed by the property manager.
- After-hours support: Be available for after-hours emergencies on a rotating or as-needed basis.
Required skills and qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in a relevant field like property management or administration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with tenants, vendors, and the management team.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and pay close attention to detail.
- Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio) and standard office software like Microsoft Office.
