Bid Market Account Executive

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and uncover new construction/retrofit projects that contain fire alarm, security and integration systems in the bid specifications. Review project/product specifications to see if AFA can meet the requirements of Ihe project/systems
  • Serve as the key point of contact: Develop and nurture key relationships with customers, including electrical and general contractors and engineers/architects to grow business
  • Read and understand bid documents: Interpret technical drawings and programming guides, relaying necessary information to the engineering, operations team, and leadership team
  • Develop and execute a strong business plan: Utilize advanced selling skills such as qualifying prospects, lead generation, new business development, account penetration, strategic selling, conceptual selling, issues-based selling, consultative selling, negotiation, and closing contracts
  • Manage CRM data: Include accounts, contacts, and opportunities in the CRM system. Ensure the Sales Stages reflect accurate Estimated Revenue, Estimated Close Date, and Probability to win business

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the commercial development industry
  • 5+ years of experience establishing a client base: Proven successful history of relationship development, lead generation, and selling design concepts/ideas
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven history of sales success: Experience identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Experience building a network of business relationships: Ability to create sales opportunities by working with A&D (Architecture & Design), real estate, and construction companies
  • Innovative self-starter
  • Excellent problem-solving skills: Strong meeting facilitation skills
  • Ability to lead change: Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment effectively
  • Bachelor’s degree
