Business Development Manager

Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager with expertise in the flow control industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, significant experience in field sales, and a deep understanding of valve, actuation, and fluid mechanics applications. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who can leverage technical knowledge to drive growth and build long-lasting customer relationships in Commercial & Industrial markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead business development efforts to expand our market share in the flow control industry, with a focus on valves, actuators, fluid mechanics, hydronic cooling, process piping, and HVAC systems.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth and enhance customer engagement in Commercial & Industrial sectors.
  • Manage the entire sales lifecycle from lead generation to deal closure, including technical presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to promote our products and services.
  • Identify and assess new business opportunities, focusing on emerging trends and technologies within the flow control industry.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, and product development) to provide tailored solutions to clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to adjust business development strategies accordingly.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our products and expand the network.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to customers regarding hydronic cooling, HVAC systems, process piping, and actuation valves.
  • Track and report sales performance, pipeline, and key metrics to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical or field sales environments, preferably in the flow control industry.
  • 3+ years of experience with valves, actuators, and fluid mechanics applications within the flow control industry.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in hydronic cooling, process piping, HVAC systems, and actuation valves within commercial and industrial settings.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Excellent technical understanding and ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical clients.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with large-scale projects in commercial and industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
  • Professional certifications or industry-specific training in flow control, HVAC, or similar areas.
