Clinic hiring for medical assistant to cover leave.
Length: 3 months for now
Hours: M-F 9-5
Responsibilities:
- Rooms patients with physicians and PA in a fast paced clinical schedule.
- Ability to take vital signs and document in chart
- Booking surgeries for all patients (inpatient and outpatient) when the doctor is scheduled to be in the OR as appropriate.
- Review all CPT / ICD 10 codes with physicians for booking sheets.
- Complete booking form and submit to scheduling as per protocol.
- Write pre-operative request and fax to PCP or specialist as appropriate requested physician.
- Receive & Review pre-operative testing & history and physical from requested PCP’s or specialist as appropriate physician’s office and submit to pre-admissions department for review.
Requirements:
- Medical assistant certification or diploma
- At least 1 year of recent experience
- EMR experience
- Must be available to start ASAP
