Certified Medical Assistant

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7AM-3PM, occasional flexibility for a Saturday shift

Requirements:

  • Must hold an active National Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT)
  • Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited allied health school
  • 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Must have experience with phlebotomy / administering injections

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to physicians, RNs, and other staff members in performing physical examinations and other procedures
  • Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and other medical screenings
  • Perform blood draws – phlebotomy experience is a must
  • Measure vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height)
  • Record information on patients’ charts
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients
  • Answer incoming phone calls and check patients in
