Schedule: Monday through Friday 7AM-3PM, occasional flexibility for a Saturday shift
Requirements:
- Must hold an active National Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT)
- Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited allied health school
- 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Must have experience with phlebotomy / administering injections
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to physicians, RNs, and other staff members in performing physical examinations and other procedures
- Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and other medical screenings
- Perform blood draws – phlebotomy experience is a must
- Measure vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height)
- Record information on patients’ charts
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients
- Answer incoming phone calls and check patients in
