Primary care clinic hiring for medical assistant.
Type: contract to hire
Will require traveling to Walpole and Millis sister sites
Hours: 8am-5pm, M-F
Responsibilities:
Coordinates pre-visit preparations including addressing the special needs of patients (i.e. comfort measures, communication, and other appropriate issues), ensuring relevant labs and tests are scheduled and completed prior to office visit, organization of paper chart, etc.
• Escorts patients to the exam rooms, take vital signs and administer vac
• Performs a variety of patient care procedures within the Medical Assistant (MA) scope of practice, including but not limited to: injections and EKG’s.
• Obtains blood specimens in accordance with established procedures, while maintaining a professional, patient-sensitive atmosphere.
Requirements:
- HSD/ GED
- Candidates require at least 1 year of MA experience. Primary care is preferred, but open to candidates from any specialty.
- Injection experience preferred, but not required
- MA Diploma required, National cert preferred, but not required
