Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead all financial functions of the hospital. The CFO will play a key role on the executive leadership team, overseeing financial planning, revenue cycle management, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of healthcare finance, regulatory frameworks, and hospital operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the hospital’s goals.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors.

  • Lead financial forecasting, modeling, and scenario planning.

  • Budgeting & Financial Management

  • Oversee the development of annual operating and capital budgets.

  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Ensure effective cost management and resource allocation.

  • Revenue Cycle & Reimbursement

  • Oversee billing, collections, coding, and reimbursement processes.

  • Optimize payer mix and maximize revenue from government and private insurers.

  • Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Coordinate annual audits and manage relationships with external auditors.

  • Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as operations, IT, and clinical services.

  • Capital Projects & Investment

  • Evaluate and manage capital investment opportunities and financing strategies.

  • Oversee financial due diligence and analysis for new initiatives and partnerships.


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)

    • CPA and/or MBA (preferred)

    • Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience

    • At least 5 years in a senior financial role within a healthcare or hospital environment

    • Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement, Medicare/Medicaid, and value-based payment models

    • Proficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms

    • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills
