Chief Medical Officer (CMO) – Federally Qualified Health Center
Location: Onsite | Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8am–4pm | Compensation: $250K–$300K
Clinical/Administrative Split: ~30% Clinical / 70% Administrative
Reports to: CEO | Direct Reports: 10 (Physicians & NPs)
On-Call: Rotating weekends (every 7–8 weeks)

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Clinical Background: Board certified in Addiction Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or other primary care-related specialty

Leadership Experience: Proven track record of managing medical teams and implementing quality initiatives

Organizational Fit: Experience in FQHCs, community health, or similar mission-driven environments preferred

Business Acumen: Comfortable operating in a ~$40M budget environment; ideally from an org with 250–500 employees
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of 10+ clinicians across primary care disciplines

Oversee care delivery, population health initiatives, and quality metrics

Participate in direct patient care (~30%) to stay clinically connected

Collaborate closely with the CEO and senior leadership on strategy, policy, and compliance

Drive adoption and optimization of EHR and IT systems

Help evolve the organization’s Patient-Centered Medical Home model

Represent the clinical voice internally and externally
