Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with hands-on experience operating and programming Citizen Swiss-style CNC lathes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings. This role is critical in supporting our high-precision manufacturing processes for industries such as [aerospace, medical device, defense, etc.].
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain Citizen Swiss-type CNC lathes (e.g., L20, M32, A20 models)
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
- Make program edits and adjustments using G-code or M-code as needed
- Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and other precision tools
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot any mechanical or programming issues
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines
- Work with engineers and quality control to ensure parts meet tight tolerances and customer specifications
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records
- Follow all safety and cleanroom procedures as required
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience operating Citizen Swiss-style CNC machines
- Ability to set up complex jobs from start to finish with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of tight-tolerance machining and precision measurement tools
- Experience with programming/editing CNC code preferred
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate or vocational training preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
