Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Minimum of 4-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the construction industry or real estate experience • Proven experience in job costing, contract management, and project accounting • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy | Responsibilities • The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing financial insights to support decision-making processes • This role requires a thorough understanding of construction accounting, including job costing, contract management, and project financial reporting • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP • Manage month-end and year-end close processes • Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed explanations for deviations • Maintain job cost accounting records and monitor project budgets • Manage construction contracts, change orders, and billing • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project costs and revenues • Reconcile job cost reports with general ledger • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts • Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions as necessary |
