Role and Responsibilities Summary of Position: The Controller is responsible for the development of the company and financial management strategy (creation and implementation) along with contributing to the development of the organization?s strategic goals by providing leadership and coordination of company?s financial planning, debt financing, budget management and inventory control functions and ensure company accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles. Duties & Responsibilities: ? - Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
- Oversee daily operations of the Finance department
- Timely management and preparation of all financial reports, weekly and monthly
- Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
- Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
- Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
- Work with department managers to develop long term business plans
- Establish Finance short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
- Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements as well as implement those improvements
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality and attention to detail
- Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments
- Upgrade and implement an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and procedures
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual budget process
- Provide analytical support to the internal management team including development of operational metrics, monthly P&L
- Ensure Precisions is insured at appropriate levels and disciplines: property, financial, product liability, officer, recall etc.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, payroll, expenses
- Manage relations with third party IT to ensure proper, current system support is in place to handle company objectives
- Oversee material management/MRP
- Oversee all direct and indirect purchasing initiatives; set and meet annual ?cost? reduction targets
- Manage ERP system to address needs of all departments and business objectives.
