Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controller to oversee all financial and accounting activities for our manufacturing operations. This role is critical in driving financial integrity, cost control, and operational efficiency while supporting the strategic goals of the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, and will serve as a key business partner to operations and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and variances.

Develop and maintain standard costing systems and ensure accurate BOM (Bill of Materials) and routing data.

Coordinate and lead budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with operations and leadership teams.

Implement, document, and maintain adequate internal controls and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Manage audits and work with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies as needed.

Support strategic initiatives by providing financial analysis, modeling, and reporting.

Supervise and mentor a small team of accounting professionals.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory control, and manufacturing metrics.

Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.

Familiarity with international accounting standards (if applicable).

Background in private equity or high-growth environments is a plus.
