Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our global accounting operations and financial reporting. The Controller will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance processes across multiple regions and sales channels. This is a key leadership role, supporting decision-making through financial transparency in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee global accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS.

Consolidate financial results across multiple regions and business units, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and statutory requirements.

Maintain and enhance internal controls and compliance across international operations.

Collaborate with FP&A, supply chain, merchandising, and e-commerce teams to ensure accurate financial forecasting and cost control.

Manage global tax filings, audits, and compliance in partnership with external advisors and internal tax teams.

Own and improve financial systems and ERP platforms to support scalable growth and efficiency.

Mentor and develop a high-performing global accounting team.

Provide strategic financial insights to executive leadership to inform key business decisions.

Lead transformation projects such as process automation, systems upgrades, and acquisition integration.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification required.

8–12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership/controller capacity, preferably in a global retail or consumer goods environment.

Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, financial reporting, and consolidation practices.
Experience with QuickBooks -
Experience working in an omni-channel business model (brick-and-mortar + e-commerce).

Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and financial reporting tools.

Demonstrated success managing multi-currency, multi-entity accounting environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with inventory and cost accounting in a retail environment.

Exposure to IPO-readiness, SOX compliance, or public company reporting standards.
