Job Title: Corporate Controller
Location: 10 minutes from New Britain, CT
Compensation: $150,000 – $160,000 base salary (plus 10–15% bonus potential)

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Controller to lead its finance and accounting functions. This is a key leadership role with broad exposure to executive management and the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making in a dynamic, global environment.
The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking, with a proven ability to enhance financial processes, ensure compliance, and provide insights that drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Inventory.

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

Present financial reports to senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.

Implement and maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Manage treasury operations, including cash flow and banking relationships.

Partner with tax advisors to optimize strategies and ensure compliance with state and local tax requirements.

Support international finance operations, including collaboration with overseas teams.

Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering collaboration and accountability.

Lead inventory valuation efforts, annual physical counts, and cycle count processes.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Controller or senior financial leader; manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.

In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.

Proven success in process improvements, cost reduction strategies, and efficiency initiatives.

Strong ERP/financial systems experience (knowledge of Plex is a plus).

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
