Job Title: Corporate Controller

Location: 10 minutes from New Britain, CT 

Compensation: $150,000 – $160,000 base salary (plus 10–15% bonus potential)


About the Opportunity

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Controller to lead its finance and accounting functions. This is a key leadership role with broad exposure to executive management and the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making in a dynamic, global environment.

The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking, with a proven ability to enhance financial processes, ensure compliance, and provide insights that drive business performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Inventory.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

  • Present financial reports to senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.

  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Manage treasury operations, including cash flow and banking relationships.

  • Partner with tax advisors to optimize strategies and ensure compliance with state and local tax requirements.

  • Support international finance operations, including collaboration with overseas teams.

  • Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering collaboration and accountability.

  • Lead inventory valuation efforts, annual physical counts, and cycle count processes.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Controller or senior financial leader; manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.

  • Proven success in process improvements, cost reduction strategies, and efficiency initiatives.

  • Strong ERP/financial systems experience (knowledge of Plex is a plus).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
