Hours of Operation Mon-Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm Friday 9:30am – 5:00pm (closed daily for lunch from 12:30pm to 1:00pm)
PURPOSE
As the infectious disease clinical leader in the department, provide clinical and operational oversight of the Ryan White program and consulting services to the organization regarding the care and treatment to patients with, or at risk of contracting, infectious diseases. Develop, implement, and maintain systems for monitoring and continuously improving clinical outcomes for patients with infectious diseases. Supervise the day-to-day clinical activities of infectious disease providers and support staff in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the clinic, or as required by the Clinical Director to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained. Lead by example in the delivery of effective and efficient patient care.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
Minimum education and experience required:
Graduate of an accredited medical and an accredited residency program in a relevant clinical discipline
Board-certification in Infectious Disease
Valid State of Connecticut license as a physician
Two (2) years of successful experience as a practicing infectious disease physician
CPR certification at the healthcare provider level or eligible to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
CPT-4 and ICT-10 coding experience
One (1) year of clinical administrative management experience.
