EHS and Facilities Leader – Nashoba Valley Area

Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned EHS and Facilities Supervisor with a strong background in manufacturing or industrial environments. This role is responsible for the dual oversight of our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management systems and the operational integrity of our facility. You will be the primary lead for regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and the continuous improvement of our physical infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Leadership

  • System Administration: Own and administer the site EHS management system in full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable state and local regulations.
  • Policy Development: Create, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and detailed work instructions.
  • Risk Management: Lead hazard identification, formal risk assessments, and robust corrective action programs.
  • Incident Investigation: Conduct thorough incident investigations and root cause analyses to ensure timely and effective corrective actions.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Coordinate internal audits, site inspections, and serve as the primary point of contact for all regulatory agency interactions.
  • Safety Culture: Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing incidents, near-misses, and overall environmental risk.

Facilities Management

  • Maintenance Oversight: Supervise routine facility maintenance, emergency repairs, and preventive maintenance programs to ensure zero downtime.
  • Contractor Coordination: Manage relationships and performance for all external contractors and specialized service providers.
  • Project Support: Provide safety and facility expertise for capital improvement projects, ensuring all upgrades meet technical and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years of relevant EHS experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or highly regulated environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as ASP (Associate Safety Professional), CSP, CHMM, or CIH are highly preferred (or actively in progress).

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep technical knowledge of federal and local environmental and safety laws.
  • Proven ability to lead incident investigations and implement long-term safety solutions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee complex facility repairs and upgrades.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with both shop-floor employees and high-level regulatory officials.
