Epic Project Manager – Chicago, IL
(Contract – 6 months)
Pay Rate: $40-$50/hour
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, Wednesday 8:30am-6:30pm

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Experience working with Epic EHR systems, preferably covering the full implementation lifecycle.
- Familiarity with Epic modules commonly used in FQHC settings.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Key soft skills include exceptional analytical thinking, communication, project management, and organizational strengths.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
Preferred Requirements:
- Epic certification
- Experience in an FQHC or similar environment is a plus.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an Epic Project Manager (6-month contract) to serve as an Epic Implementation Specialist. This role is responsible for overseeing the deployment, configuration, and optimization of the Epic EHR system to meet the specific operational and regulatory needs of a community health center. The position ensures smooth system integration, streamlined workflows, and support for delivering high-quality care to underserved populations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leading or supporting the planning, design, and implementation of Epic modules such as EpicCare Ambulatory and MyChart, including tailoring the system to the FQHC’s specific operational needs.
- Evaluating existing workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and translating those insights into effective technical solutions within Epic.
- Developing training materials and delivering end-user support to ensure staff competency with Epic applications.
- Providing on-site assistance during and after go-live, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Supporting data conversion efforts and leveraging Epic reporting tools for analysis, performance monitoring, and regulatory compliance.
- Managing system updates and ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations, including HIPAA requirements.
- Acting as a liaison between clinical/administrative staff, IT teams, and external vendors to maintain alignment and ensure project success.
