TITLE: HR Generalist
Compensation: $70,000.00- $80,000.00
Location: Plainville, CT
The HR Generalist provides support to the organization to enable development, engagement, and support for the assigned businesses as well as general support to HR team members and leaders. This position will work closely with people in our manufacturing site and work on improving business strategies through people. The HR Generalist is responsible for full-cycle non-exempt talent acquisition, talent development and engagement, reporting and metrics, people-related projects, and assisting in payroll.
What You Will Do:
- Manage all processes related to HR policies for assigned client groups (Service Awards, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Referrals, etc.).
- Manage Leave of Absence and ADA processes for assigned client groups and partner closely with Benefits team.
- Provide Talent Acquisition support to include full ownership for Non-Exempt recruitment, assistance with Exempt recruitment, and onboarding support for all hires at both manufacturing sites.
- Build relationships with community partners as well as area high schools, career centers, and universities to create talent pipelines.
- Work with team to proactively develop solutions to support business strategy and to establish and maintain productive internal and external working relationships.
- Coach leaders and employees on employee self-service and manager self-service functionality.
- Lead and support employee-facing processes (Payroll, Leave of Absence, Employee Uniforms, Benefits, etc.).
- Support engagement strategies through employee and leader coaching.
- Create and maintain reports to support client groups. This includes data integrity.
- Additional projects to support HR teammates and client groups as appropriate.
- Identify opportunities for HR Process improvements.
- This role will require onsite support in a manufacturing setting and is not available for remote work.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources including: talent acquisition and management, benefits, employee relations, change management, local and federal law knowledge.
- Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources (preferred), Organizational Leadership, Management, Finance, Communications, other related field.
- Strong technological skills, including HRIS experience (Workday, UKG, Kronos) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with and influence leaders and employees.
- Experience and proven ability in managing dashboards and analyzing data.
- Detail-oriented, organized, with a strong sense of urgency.
- Knowledge and experience with employment law.
- Proven ability to problem-solve, manage conflict, influence, multi-task, and manage change.
