Human Resources Generalist

We seek an experienced HR Generalist with outstanding people skills to ensure our human resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned with overall business objectives. The role will be primarily responsible for supporting the HR Department’s strategy and vision and managing the day-to-day tactical operations in Human Resources. Additionally, the HR director will oversee all aspects of payroll operations and leverage data analytics to optimize human resources processes and decision-making, ensure compliance with regulations, and utilize analytics tools to derive insights that drive strategic HR initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the parent company in managing and coordinating activities across its multiple business entities.
  • Align human resources activities and objectives with the organization’s mission and strategic goals and ensure consistent application.
  • Support organizational strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues.
  • Implement HR strategies by supporting employment stages, processing, and compensation.
  • Support management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions.
  • Guide management with a deep understanding of company policies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Lead the HR analytics function, including gathering, analyzing, and interpreting HR data to inform business decisions and improve organizational performance.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and stakeholders to identify process improvement and optimization opportunities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Manage payroll operations, including processing payroll and benefits administration. Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Understand and administer employee benefits platforms.
    • Assist with Open Enrollment communications, presentations, auditing, etc.
    • Assist with annual benefit-related audits and HRIS system testing as needed.
  • Keep abreast of State and Federal laws, including reporting compliance and benefits review.
  • Provide advice and direction on state leaves, ADA, FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, and employee-relations issues.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience with benefit analytics, including knowledge of benefit laws and processes.
  • Proven experience overseeing payroll processes, including knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to lead and support a team of professionals.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities are a must, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and achieving organizational goals.
