Location: Greater Hartford, CT area

Summary:
A national wholesale brokerage team is looking to hire a highly motivated Associate Broker to join their team in a fast-paced, client-facing support role. This role offers a unique opportunity for someone early in their career to be mentored by one of the firm’s top-performing brokers. The Associate Broker will be fully embedded in daily operations and will learn the ins and outs of commercial insurance placement, client management, and brokering from a leader who has successfully developed talent in the past.

This is not a metrics-driven sales role. There is no commission structure, and success is not tied to quotas. Instead, this is an ideal fit for someone interested in building a long-term career in insurance brokerage — someone who sees this industry as a rewarding path and wants to learn from the best.

High achievers from any background — whether athletics, academics, leadership roles, or past professional experience — are encouraged to apply. You’ll be supported in earning your Property & Casualty license (required for the role), and over time, there is clear potential for advancement to a broker.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Support the broker in managing a book of business and executing day-to-day account activities
  • Assist in preparing submissions for new and renewal business
  • Review policy documents, quotes, and coverage comparisons
  • Communicate with underwriters and retail partners on behalf of the broker
  • Participate in client strategy discussions and support relationship-building efforts
  • Help manage operational and administrative tasks tied to active deals and submissions
  • Learn the process and progression toward becoming a broker yourself

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1–2 years of professional experience preferred (internships, sales, client-facing roles, or administrative support all welcome)
  • Recent college graduates with strong academic performance and leadership experience will be considered
  • Must be driven, accountable, and eager to learn — this is a high-growth role
  • Someone who thrives in both collaborative and independent environments
  • Comfortable engaging with clients, underwriters, and internal teams
