? Assure timely response to email and telephone assistance requests.
? Accurately log all helpdesk calls.
? Use monitoring tools to ensure uptime, monitor network health and troubleshoot issues.
? Visualizing a problem or situation and thinking abstractly to solve it.
? Independently assess and effectively respond to employee requests for support.
? Keep employees who have requested support informed of problem resolution timelines and action plans.
? Implement problem solutions by following company policies and procedures. Follow through on
commitments made to employees.
How does the IT Support Technician Collaborate?
Support the IT Manager and local site leadership team by employing a highly professional demeanor and drawing on
excellent organizational and communication skills. Your role will require collaboration with members of the RF &
Microwave team who have varying degrees of IT knowledge and therefore, you will need to be adaptable and
enjoy helping others solve problems preventing them from working effectively.
What is the IT Support Technician Empowered to do?
? Identify the specific nature of user difficulties and provide a specific and effective response to solutions.
? Work with internal and external resources to resolve issues quickly.
? Listen to an employee explain the incident, then determine the probable cause, and logically take the best
course of action.
? Develop and document procedures used by Help Desk as part of building the training library.
? Increase personal knowledge of business and technical environment with the goal of increasing first-call
resolution rates.
? Build partnerships with employees by regularly demonstrating expertise and professionalism.
Criteria for Success:
? Minimum of three years of experience providing IT support in a professional capacity
? Support ERP database by writing scripts, extracting data, and generating reports using SQL based
applications(MSSQL, BigQuery,PowerBi, LookerStudio)
? Assisting in technical problem-solving related to database-driven applications
? Hands-on experience in installing, troubleshooting, and fixing desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices
and network devices like switches, wireless access points, firewalls, LAN, VPN, etc.
? Ability to lift/move computer equipment weighing up to 50Lbs
? Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
? Strong written, verbal, and analytical skill set
? Experience with collaboration tools (Google Workspace) is a plus
? Virtual Desktop Platforms/Environments is a plus
? Experience with virtual system administration is a plus
? Skills: Intermediate SQL knowledge. General IT support skills (networking, OS troubleshooting, application
support).
