IT Technician

What Our Support Technicians Do:
- Complete installations and provide support at client locations
- Hands-on and field-based work with over 30-50% of time spent on site. (Mileage reimbursement is provided)
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Server, Network and software issues.
- Install and configure new PC’s, Servers, laptops, devices and peripherals such as cameras, printers, firewalls, and other related hardware or network devices
- Develop, prepare, tests and deploy Computer and Network Hardware and be capable of supporting users in a virtual desktop environment.
- Perform computer wired and wireless network troubleshooting
- Develop, document, and effectively communicate job processes, procedures, and techniques
Experience Required:
- At least five years’ experience in the field of network and hardware installation, configuration, maintenance and support.
- Problem Solving of Network, Internet, and Hardware systems
- Must own a car and have a valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to work on a Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm schedule, on call approx. one weekend a month. Some night work as required/needed.
- Ability to clearly communicate with clients and staff
- Ability to document jobs and clear email skills.
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously from design to implementation
Product Knowledge:
- Microsoft Standard Server, SQL Server and Windows 11 Pro.
- Experience working with Wide Area Networks and multi-server environments
- Virtualization using Hyper V
- SonicWall or similar Firewall Configuration and Support
- Managed switches
- Network Maintenance including patching, data backup and recovery
