Jr. Estimator

A growing organization is seeking a Jr. Estimator to join their team. This is a great organization with a ton of growth, looking for someone eager to grow into the Management role for this when that individual retires. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in preparing cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Analyze drawings and other documents to create time, cost, materials, and labor quotes.
  • Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, etc.
  • Subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Manage databases.
  • Work with project teams to ensure alignment with goals and budgets.
  • Participate in site visits and pre-bid meetings and assist in preparing bids.
  • Track historical data and pricing.
  • Collaborate to develop value options.

Qualifications (these are not a requirement – these are bonuses and aspects that will be part of the job – candidate must be comfortable learning them.)
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience). RECENT GRADUATES WITH INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE WELCOME TO APPLY.
  • Experience in construction estimating or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of construction industry
  • Strong analytical and mathematical mindset.
  • Proficient in Excel, and estimating software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
