We have partnered with a 400+ unit apartment complex in Syracuse that is looking for a Leasing Assistant to increase and sustain occupancy
The company is in need of someone with a minimum of 1 year experience in Affordable Housing Leasing and will pay $21-24/hour with a schedule of 8:30am – 5pm Mon-Fri.
Responsibilities:
- Completing annual recertifications at properties layered with various Afforable Housing subsidy programs.
- Gather appropriate documents for residency approval submission to the appropriate person or third-party vendor
- Interact with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy for the property
- Prepare lease documentation and complete move-in paperwork
- Deliver customer service that exceeds expectations for new and current residents
- Ensure that property interior and exterior are to standard
- Maintain knowledge of competitors, submarkets, and customer demographics
- Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and other regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- 1-2 years of sales or customer service,
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience with computer systems
- Experience in affordable housing, preferably LIHTC or public housing
HUD and Tax Credit experience required.
Microsoft Office, Google Workplace, Computer and telephone etiquette.
