Licensed Pharmacy Technician – Miami, FL
Hours: M/W/F 9-5 and T/TH 8-5 or 11-8 (FT)
Pay: $22+/hr DOE
Essential:
- Enter medication orders into patient profiles.
- Assist with use of automated dispensing machines (RobotRx, ScriptPro).
- Stock medication shelves, return excess stock to inventory.
- Prepare and package non-sterile compounded pharmaceuticals.
- Correctly distribute controlled substances.
- Resolve billing errors.
- Assist with management of inventory levels.
- Respond to telephone inquiries.
- Assist with training of staff.
- Complete special projects as assigned by supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor to assist with preparation and delivery of patient
- medications.
- Process patient care orders using the electronic ordering system may be required in certain areas.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent medical certificate or 2-4 years of experience working in a clinical healthcare setting.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish or Creole).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Current certified Pharmacy Technician license.
- Minimum two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Ability to interact effectively with consumers, administration and staff.
- Organizational skills are a must.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong knowledge base of medications.
- This position requires extensive standing/walking, as well as lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring of patients.
