Litigation Legal Secretary

  • Position: Litigation Legal Secretary
  • Location: San Francisco, California
  • Salary Range: $100,000 – $115,000 (dependent on skillset and experience)
  • Primary Responsibilities:
    • Provide administrative support to attorneys in the Litigation Practice Group
    • Manage multiple cases, including e-filing in various jurisdictions
    • Handle administrative tasks such as calendar management, correspondence, travel arrangements, etc.
    • Assist with case management, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials
    • Prepare and proofread legal documents and correspondence
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
    • Knowledge of court rules and civil procedures in State and Federal jurisdictions
    • Advanced-level computer skills required (MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign)
    • Strong client service, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
    • 5+ years of litigation experience with knowledge of court rules and electronic filing
    • Typing speed of approx. 50-80 words per minute with high accuracy
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree or Legal Secretary Certificate
    • Knowledge of online court filing systems
    • Experience working with multiple lawyers simultaneously
    • Experience using dictation and transcription software
